Can I drink alcohol after teeth whitening?

It's safe to drink clear liquids after teeth whitening treatment such as white wine, gin, and vodka. At the same time, you want to stay away from alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages that can stain your teeth, such as coffee, tea, orange juice, soda, beer, and fizzy drinks.

That said, you should also steer clear of coloured mouthwash and toothpaste, especially those few hours after you've had the treatment. In addition to alcohol and other drinks, you are not recommended to take certain foods. Make sure to cut out beetroot, broccoli, peas, sweet corn, tomatoes, green beans, and green or red lettuce for a few days or for as long as you've been instructed by your dentist.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to eliminate them completely from your diet. Before you know it, you will be back to drinking and eating like you normally would. We've written an extensive post on what you can eat after teeth whitening if you're interested in learning more.
